El perquè de Old School Ales és ben senzill: per què vull.
Així de clar. La veritat és que no tinc res que ensenyar a ningú sobre la cervesa. Ni sobre la cata, ni sobre la fabricació (jo tot just estic començant a aprendre a fer de cerveser…) ni crec tampoc que a ningú li importe les cerveses que bec o deixe de beure. En qualsevol cas, això em dóna la llibertat de parlar sense pensar que les meues paraules puguen ser tingudes en consideració.
Jo sóc fotògraf i tinc almenys una pàgina web, un facebook, un twitter, un blog oficial i dos Tumblr dedicats a la fotografia. Em passo tot el dia fent fotografies i parlant de fotografia. És dur perquè com que sembla que no ho faig malament del tot, la gent m’escolta quan parle del tema. Això és una responsabilitat.
Quan ningú em mira, però, faig altres coses. Tinc cura dels meus bonsais, faig quilòmetres en bicicleta, faig algun tatuatge, toco la trompeta i, principalment, bec cerveses Ale (símplement Ale d’ara en avant). Ara també estic provant de fer cervesa a casa. Ja veurem què resulta de tot plegat.
La meua intenció és anar explicant una mica les Ales que vaig bevent i prendre’n algunes notes. No perquè pugui servir-li a ningú, sinó per aprendre’n més jo mateix. Potser amb això, molt d’esforç i moltes cerveses begudes i pixades, arribe a fer una bona Ale.

The reason of Old School Ales is quite simple: I want to do it.
As easy as that. Being honest, I don’t have anything to teach about the beer. Anything about the tasting, neither about brewing (I’m just starting to learn how to brew beer …) and I really think that anyone would not care about what I drink or not. Anyway, this point gives me the freedom to speak without thinking that my words might be taken into consideration.
I am a photographer and I have at least a website, a facebook, a twitter, an official blog and two Tumblr blogs dedicated to the photography. I spend all my time taking pictures and talking about photography. It becomes hard sometimes because it looks like I’m not totally a bad photographer and people listens to me when I speak about that. This is a huge responsibility.
When nobody is looking at me, I also do other things. I take care of my bonsais, I ride my fixed gear bike, I do tattoos sometimes, I play the trumpet and, most of time, I drink Ales. Now I’m also trying to brew beer at home. We’ll see if it turns into something good some day.
My intention is to talk a bit about the Ales that I buy and drink and take some notes of them. Not to help the others, but for my self benefit. Maybe with this, with a lot of effort and many beers drunk and pissed, I brew a good Ale someday.
